Our platform uses your Android phone to send and receive messages on your behalf.
Due to restrictions Android has on applications that send SMS messages, we cannot distribute our applications through the Play Store. You will need to download the application manually and install it using the steps below.
Launch the TextIt installer
Open the notifications shade by dragging from the top and select the downloaded file.
Tap Settings
You will be taken to a screen with “allow from this source” toggle.
Toggle allow from this source
Make sure “allow from this source” toggle is in the On position.
Go Back
Click Install:
Open TextIt
Once TextIt has been installed, open the app drawer and tap on the TextIt icon to start the app.
Enter Claim Code
When you first open TextIt, the app will register your device with Google and our servers. Once that is complete, it will display a claim code.
Once you have your claim code, go to your account page, click on the ☰ menu icon and choose “Add Channel”:
From here, click on the Android phone channel option:
This is where you will enter the claim code and your phone number. Simply start typing in the fields in the phone icon to the left hand side of the page. Click “Add Phone” to connect your device:
That’s it! You’re now ready to use your Android phone as your channel to send and receive messages.
Want to increase your messaging rate to more 30 messages/hr? Enter the app then click the banner that says to install more packs. It’s as simple as that. Note that you may need to update the settings on your phone to allow TextIt to install apps, which should automatically come up as an option.
